Thanks to everyone who came to the ‘Rise and Dream’ screenings!

'Rise and Dream' premiereThanks to all who came to see “Rise and Dream” on Saturday, June 30 at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City!

The event was a huge success, and we are looking forward to sharing the film with as many people as possible.

We had such a positive response to the film from our moviegoers at both the 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. screenings. Here is what a few of them had to say about “Rise and Dream”:

“As someone who has an education degree and who is looking for a teaching job, it was really inspiring to see what the kids were achieving in very difficult circumstances. It was really beautiful, and I was crying as I was watching the concert.”
ó Corinne Stanley

“I wasnít quite aware of how much of an impact [the CFCA scholarship program] has, but the film shows that it doesnít take much to help.”
ó Nancy Shuert

“The film was so uplifting! The [Filipino] people are so beautiful!”
ó Beverly Wharton, CFCA sponsor
