It was wonderful reading this story and seeing the picture of the handtowel. In America we often forget how much we have to be grateful for and reading about the children, youth and aging around the world makes us realize how much we have. I am sponsoring my third child and have tremendously enjoyed each one. I love watching them grow! The first child I sponsored is now a college graduate and working as a personal fitness trainer in Colombia! My two oldest children who are college graduates now each sponsor a child. I only wish I could do more. Keep the stories coming. It encourages us all.

Thank you, CFCA, for publishing this guest post. So many things about my Mission Awareness Trip are memorable, but the moment between Ana Lucrecia and me will always stand out. I applaud you for your commitment to helping people find ways to work and support their families; the pride these women had in their work and its effects on their families spoke volumes.
