~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~
Every Thursday the Like Mother, Like Daughter blog invites bloggers to post four pictures – pretty, happy, funny and real – and give a little context for each picture. We thought it was a great idea!
So here’s {phfr} at the CFCA blog:
{Pretty}
These flowers are from Colombia’s annual “Fair of the Flowers,” or feria de las flores. It takes place in Medellin.
The city decorates itself with flowers for approximately 10 days and features a diverse number of recreational and cultural activities.
Sponsored children have participated in the festival’s competitions and won several awards.
{Happy}
These kids are happy and patriotic! CFCA sponsored children in the Dominican Republic proudly display their country’s flag.
{Funny}
You’re never too old to have fun! In this picture, aging friends sponsored through CFCA in Chile take turns on the swings.
{Real}
CFCA seeks to offer hope and restore dignity to people in real need. By sponsoring a child or aging friend, our sponsors are making a difference in the lives of people in poverty around the world.

Wonderful pictures! We have been CFCA sponsors for about 4 years now. We are so grateful that we have had the opportunity to work with you to make a difference. May God continue to bless your work!
PS – because our first sponsored child was able to step out of sponsorship, we have just received information on our new friend – Sharon from Africa. Thank you, CFCA.
Thanks so much, Colleen! It’s wonderful to hear from you, and we’re thrilled that Sharon has you for her sponsor.
God bless you too, and may you have a wonderful Christmas season.
