We’re excited to announce that we’ll be sponsoring a play by the Kansas City affiliate of a nationwide nonprofit, Christian Youth Theater!
A few months ago we began a conversation with this after-school theater arts training program to see how our organizations could work together to support each other in our different missions.
CFCA has always focused on helping people in developing countries build a path out of poverty. However, many of us in the Kansas City headquarters are active in supporting local community organizations right here in the U.S.
Christian Youth Theater’s mission is to develop character in children and adults through training in the arts and by producing wholesome family entertainment.
We’re supporting that initiative by sponsoring its school production of “Aida,” described on CYT’s website as “a modern crowd pleaser that embraces multicultural casting and exuberant dancing, staging and singing.” Music includes songs by Elton John and Tim Rice.
During the event we’ll highlight our Hope for a Family sponsorship program, making this a great opportunity to bring someone who may be interested in learning more about child sponsorship.
The show dates and times are:
- Thursday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m.
