Thanks for your comment, Stephanie! We do our best to explain the extended timeline of letter-writing to sponsors, and so far this ìjourney of a letterî slideshow has been especially helpful in reinforcing this.

If youíve managed your sponsorship account online (<a href="http://www.cfcausa.org/login" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.cfcausa.org/login</a>), you may have noticed that we have a birthday reminder 60 days before your sponsored friendís birthday. Usually thatís more than enough time to send your birthday card, especially now that we have the option of eLetters.

Hope this helps! Thanks again for your support.

The link about the journey of a letter is extremely helpful! Can you outline that SAME information when an individual sponsors a child? I knew it could take quite a few weeks, but according to that, if the timing is just a day or two off of the weekly post office pick up or the monthly site meeting, then it could easily take a couple of months. I feel horrible now because I thought I left enough time for birthday cards to arrive in time but now I see they may not. :-( Thanks for the information, just please make it more available/visual upfront or maybe send it out in an email reminder 3 or 4 months before your sponsor child(ren)'s birthday.
