5 great letter-writing ideas for your sponsored friend

Three CFCA sponsored children from El Salvador talk about letter-writing and what they want to hear from sponsors. Here are five topics they want to know more about: jobs, recreational activities, parents, grandchildren and gardening.

How long have you been sponsored? Four years.

How often do you write your sponsor? At least five times a year.

What do you like about writing letters? I enjoy making drawings for them.

Does your sponsor write you? If so, how often? Around five times a year.

What have you learned about your sponsor through letters? She is a joyful person, very friendly. She has told me that she is a doctor and cures animals. Sometimes she cures her grandchildren too.

What would you like to know about your sponsor? I would like to know what she does to cure the dogs and cats.

How often do you write your sponsor? Four to five times a year.

What do you like about writing letters? To tell what I do every day, what happens with my friends, at school, in our family. Whatever is new among us. I also enjoy talking about my siblings.

Does your sponsor write you? If so, how often? About three to four times a year.

What have you learned about your sponsor through letters? She is very Catholic and attends church regularly. She likes to help others through material and spiritual means.

What would you like to know about your sponsor? So many things. What does she do during her spare time? How does she get along with her parents? Does she visit them often?

What do you like about writing letters? To tell about everything I enjoy doing, as well as what I like from school.

Does your sponsor write you? If so, how often? They write me twice a year; they love me very much and always hope I am in good health.

What have you learned about your sponsor through letters? They have a garden and trim it often to take care of it. Unfortunately I have never received a photo of it.

What would you like to know about your sponsor? I would like to meet them in person.

    This is a totally fabulous post! Love hearing about letter writing from their perspective. Would like hear from more children like this periodically.
