I know I had a lot of questions prior to my Mission Awareness Trip, and I hope this blog helps someone considering a MAT to feel they have a better sense of what to expect. Another valued component of the trip was my fellow travelers — since it was summertime we had a lot of families traveling together, which meant an opportunity for our children to get to know one another as we traveled from place to place and shared time in the evenings. We made some bonds that are likely to remain in place for a very long time.
