In early October, my sister and went on the Mission Awareness Trip to Cuernavaca, Mexico. It was a great visit, and especially exciting because we had visited there three years ago. It was wonderful to be able to see the growth and vitality of the programs after these three years of hard, conscientious, inspiring work by the dedicated staff in the Cuernavaca office. Not only were we able to visit our own sponsored friends, but we were able to see again many children, mothers, and aging whom I had photographed on our previous visit. I would say to all sponsors, if you have already made a MAT, consider making a return visit. You will be glad you did. If you have NOT made a Mission Awareness Trip, do it! You will be rewarded in ways you cannot imagine.
