Hi Carleen,

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Your gift may be left at the project office for Rufa. Project staff will deliver it during their normal visiting schedule to Rufa’s subproject, or will give your gift to the subproject staff when they come to the coordinating office. Please be sure that your gift is modest and will not put the staff or Rufa and his family at risk in any way. Project or subproject staff may withhold any gifts to sponsored members that they deem inappropriate.

It would be best to contact the project office first to arrange a time to drop off the gift. Some of the smaller projects have limited staff, and there is not always a person at the office. Please contact Sponsor Services at (800) 875-6564 to help set up the arrangements. Advance notice is always greatly appreciated.

My son and daughter in law are visiting Ella’s parents in the Philippines now and would like to leave a small gift for Rufa at the main office. Rufa is at Quezon project and it is our hope that staff will deliver our gift when they visit the site. Is that possible?
David and Ella Delio are in the Philippines now and I am David’s mother, sponsoring Rufa.

I sponsor a child in the Legazpi project. This video was very informative, it helped me understand more of the way Kim lives. I pray for her everyday. I am proud to sponsor a child with CFCA. Many people have no idea how to help and more of these videos would enlighten and open their eyes. I remember when someone came to my church and spoke to us. I think that church sponsored as many children and elderly as the gentleman brought with him. The heart to help is here they just need to know how! God Bless and be well! Teri G

I sponsor a child in the Phillippines. This video clip was very informational. I would love for CFCA do more of these video clips so that I can have a better understanding of their lifestyle. Sometimes it is hard to imagine what it is like. I am glad to be part of CFCA and help as much as I can. Even though my income is adequate to take care of me, I can always sqeeze a little more to help those in need.

So many here in the US have no real idea what economic hard times are. My wife is from the Philippines and we visited there in 2000, 2003 & 2006 for two months each visit. While in Cebu, we do a lot of work with the bario of San Roque, by distributing food and clothing, and paying for medical care. Although most are very poor, due to the cost of fuel, times have gotten much harder. The cost of rice has doubled and travel by motorized means has risen considerablely. Its unfortunate that the US, “a Christian country”, doesn’t do more to help the poor, rather than to wage war abroad. God bless. Jack
